If you’re dealing with capacity limitations or lack of experience, your lab or clinic might miss out on business opportunities. 3Shape Design Services bridges that gap for you. It helps you from a scan to a fully finished dental design.

With access to an integrated network of design providers that specialize in all indications, including crown and bridge, orthodontics, implantology, and removables, you can always deliver the right treatment to every patient.

The workflow

Our cloud software, Communicate, allows you to communicate with third-parties and share cases directly, so you can get access to all indications, from standard restorative to orthodontics and implant designs. 

Scan

Scan a patient or model with a TRIOS or lab scanner.

Send file

Send the scan file immediately to your chosen design service provider through the Communicate portal*. Alternatively, Dental System 2019 users can send orders to FullContour via a direct integration.

Design

Your design service provider works on your case.

Receive design file

Receive the completed file through the supplier portal (turnaround depends on supplier and indication).

Produce

Produce treatment products in-house or access production providers through the Communicate portal.

Treatment

Start treatment as soon as your treatment product is ready.

Connect with FullContour® from your TRIOS by following these simple steps:

  1. Contact FullContour at [email protected], as the correct email depends on indication
  2. Login to your 3Shape Communicate account
  3. Go to "Connections"
  4. Press "Add Connection"
  5. Type in the e-mail address for the 3Shape Communicate account you received in step 1*
    *Depending on indication – see above.
  6. Wait for FullContour to accept your request (usually within 24 hours – you are welcome to contact them to expedite the process)

Afterwards update your TRIOS with the following:

  1. Go to "Settings"
  2. Choose "Lab Connections"
  3. Press "Update"

Your new provider will be visible when you choose who receives your scan.

Connect with eXceed® from your TRIOS by following these simple steps:

  1. Login to your 3Shape Communicate account
  2. Go to "Connections"
  3. Press "Add Connection"
  4. Type in this email address for their 3Shape Communicate account:
    US: [email protected]
  5. Wait for them to accept your request (usually within 24 hours – you are welcome to contact them to expedite the process)

Afterwards update your TRIOS with the following:

  1. Go to "Settings"
  2. Choose "Lab Connections"
  3. Press "Update"

Your new provider will be visible when you choose who receives your scan.
