3Shape introduces its fastest lab scanner ever – the E4

Copenhagen, February 21, 2019 – 3Shape, the leading 3D scanner and CAD/CAM global software provider, introduces its fastest lab scanner ever, the E4*.

Designed for ultimate productivity, the E4 was launched today at the 3Shape press conference at Chicago Midwinter.

“3Shape makes very fast scanners. The E4 now takes the industry and scanning speed to a whole new level. It’s not only double as fast as previous models, it’s twice as accurate,” says 3Shape Co-Founder and Co-CEO, Nikolaj Deichmann.

To reduce scanning steps and save time for labs, the E4’s 4 x 5 MP cameras enable powerful impression scanning and scanning of dies while they are still in the model. Like all 3Shape E models, the E4 features Auto-start scanning and articulator holder support.

Unleashing a lab’s potential with 3Shape Dental System 2019

Speed is key when it comes to CAD/CAM design as well. 3Shape’s latest release of its industry-leading design software for labs, Dental System 2019, provides labs with significantly improved solutions for dentures, splints and clear aligners (optional add-on module) as well as, predictable workflows for a complete range of restorative indications from veneers to implants.

Dental System 2019 has also added new features geared especially for big labs where it is now up to 10 times faster when starting new cases; re-opening previously designed cases, and the import/export of material settings.

The most advanced denture software in the market

Powerful advancements to 3Shape Dental System’s Denture Design software and new possibilities within materials and manufacturing now make it highly profitable for labs to produce dentures digitally. Digital denture workflows reduce production costs and improve efficiency. 3Shape Denture Design supports both high-quality milling and 3D printing manufacturing options.

3Shape Dental System integration with Amann Girrbach mills

3Shape Dental System and Amann Girrbach have created a new integration that optimizes material files and enables lab technicians to produce restorations with great fit and contacts for the most common materials and indications on Amann Girrbach mills. These include, inlay/onlay/veneer crowns, copings, bridges, abutments and splints.
