He has two practices, a General Practice, and a bespoke designed clinic that focuses only on the digital workflow in cosmetic and implant dentistry.

Chris is Past President of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and is a Key Opinion Leader with a number of International companies. He has undertaken the Royal College FGDP Advanced Implant Diploma and regularly lectures on dental efficiencies, and advanced implant and cosmetic solutions using digital dentistry to improve your results.

Doug graduated from Birmingham University in 2003 winning the Centenary cup, he then went to do a years vocational training in Cheltenham and won the case presentation prize for his Worcestershire vocational training group and was awarded membership of the faculty of general practitioners in 2005 by examination. In 2008 and 2009 he completed two year long restorative dentistry courses with Tipton Training in Manchester and following this was awarded the Tipton training practical restorative dentist of the year award in 2009.

Doug became a partner at the practice in 2013 and in the same year was shortlisted for “Best Young Dentist” at the Dentistry Awards. In 2017 Doug became the first digital dentist representative for the International Digital Dental Academy. In 2018 Doug was awarded the certificate in Aesthetic and Restorative dentistry by the British Academy of Restorative Dentistry through examination and case presentation and in 2019 became a regional representative for the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and a beta tester for 3Shape and RolandDG.

Doug enjoys all aspects of dentistry and has a particular interest in digital dentistry, dental implants, endodontics, restorative and aesthetic dentistry. He regularly lectures on digital workflows in dentistry and mentors other dentists on this subject.

Outside dentistry, Doug is the proud father of two boys, Sam and Ollie. His interests include guitar playing, singing and snowboarding.

Charlotte joined Euston Place Dental Practice in 2014 as a trainee apprentice Dental Nurse. Following her training she continued her professional development attending multiple courses, implant nursing, microscope dentistry, rubber dam application and digital scanning.

She has also completed her Level 1 and Level 2 in 3Shape dental systems and completed her BDA radiography qualification.

Outside of dentistry she enjoys yoga and taking her Miniature Dachshund Rolo on adventures.

Victoria joined 3shape UK in February 2022 as a Training & Application Specialist, her product knowledge & training spans across the Lab & Trios business. She has 14 years in the Dental Industry and her experience extends across several disciplines.

Victoria is a Qualified Dental Nurse and Dental Technician. During her time as a Technician, she helped set up a digital lab in a large clinic with a focus on same-day crowns/bridges and implantology, from planning to final restoration. Most recently Victoria worked for 3 years as a Digital Sales Specialist for one of the largest implant manufactures both in the UK and Australia. Outside of work she enjoys hiking, travelling & cooking.

Charlie is a Senior Clinical Specialist from 3Shape, based in Reading UK. Graduating from Cardiff Met. University in 2016 with a BSc in Dental Technology, Charlie worked in Prosthetic and Orthodontic Laboratories, gaining a special interest and passion for digital workflows.

Charlie joined 3Shape in 2017 as the Orthodontic Specialist in the UK, and then in 2019 became chief clinical specialist. Charlie is responsible for UK Academy courses, onboarding new customers, and delivering advanced/expert trainings for experienced users.

Dr. Ian Buckle is a highly respected dental practitioner based in the United Kingdom. He studied dentistry at Liverpool University where he first encountered digital dentistry in the shape of the first ever CEREC machine. He qualified.in 1985 and started his career as a general dentist in the National Health Service.before owning and developing several private practices.

He is currently Principal at Buckle Advanced Dental Care in the picturesque village of Thornton Hough on the Wirral concentrating on complex reconstructive and aesthetic dentistry. In almost 40 years in dentistry he has studied with Dawson, Spear, Kois and many others to develop his skills in functional and aesthetic dentistry. He is a member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD) and British Dental Association (BDA) and completes over 100 hours of postgraduate education every year as well as being a Key Opinion Leader for 3shape, Asiga and Sprintray.

Formerly Director of the Dawson Academy UK he splits his time between clinical practice and his role as an educator providing courses on Complete Digital Dentistry for Dentanet in Scandinavia, IAS Academy in the UK, Akademia Okluzji in Poland and Top Dental Education in Bulgaria.

10:30 – 11:15 Main auditorium  Make the Most Out of Your Intraoral Scanner Dr Ian Buckle

In this lecture Ian will describe how he uses digital dentistry in every aspect of his working day to assist in examination, treatment planning and treatment provision from simple to complex cases. He will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of digital dentistry and how to get involved in digital dentistry even if you don’t have a scanner yet.

  • Understand how to efficiently collect digital records including intraoral scans, bite records and virtual articulation.
  • Learn how Patient engagement with 2D and 3D Smile Design will massively increase case acceptance

11:45 – 12:30 Breakout room 1 Splint Therapy: Which, When and Why? Dr Ian Buckle

In this lecture Ian will describe and demonstrate the different types of splints available and when and how to use them. He will give an overview of the examination process required to make a differential diagnosis which guides the choice of splint. He will describe how digital dentistry has made the design and fabrication of splints incredibly predictable, efficient and productive.

  • Understand the main types and designs of occlusal splints.

  • Appreciate the appropriate use of each splint.

  • Understand the common problems that can be treated with occlusal splint therapy.

  • Learn how to design and fabricate midpoint and full coverage splints.

11:45 – 12:30 Breakout room 2 Scanning and Patient Communication Charlotte Wall

In this breakout session Charlotte will discuss how she uses digital scan data and patient excitement apps in patient communication and treatment coordinating. Delegates will learn about TRIOS setup and how to carry out scans following the correct scan strategy on models and on each other if desired.

  • Learn about TRIOS data usage in patient communication.
  • Learn TRIOS scan strategy.
  • Use the correct scan strategy to carry out a scan.

  • Learn how to access the data required to facilitate treatment presentation and letter writing, in order to effectively communicate with patients as a tool to aid in obtaining valid consent.
