3Shape TRIOS Design Studio is now a 3Shape Unite app. Users can now take advantage of a simpler and more flexible workflow and have access to complete patient library. This release also includes new materials for DGSHAPE DWX-42 and DWX-4 mills.

NEW 3Shape Unite

TRIOS Design Studio 2022.1 is based on Unite. Users can now start their workflow either from scratch or by selecting relevant scans and images in the patient media library.

NEW Flexible workflows with new Unite actions

Now cases can be started using Unite actions, which improve how workflows are started, and a simpler and more flexible case handling. Certain workflows when completed, offer additional actions that help take treatment planning to the next step. Bringing an enhanced overview of treatment opportunities, simplified access and flexibility to go back and choose a supplementary treatment with ease.

TRIOS Design Studio can be launched by choosing the ‘Studios’ action.

NEW materials for the DGSHAPE DWX-42W

The following materials are now implemented and validated for the DWX-42W milling machine:

Telio CAD blocks for crowns and bridges.
Vita CAD-Temp blocks for crowns and bridges.
Hass Rosetta blocks for crowns, inlays, onlays, veneers and bridges.

NEW materials for the Roland DWX-4 mill

The Roland DWX-4 mill has been updated with SHOFU blocks to be used for crowns, inlays, onlays and veneers.

AI design for all restoration types

AI design proposal is now available for anatomical crowns, inlays, screw-retained crowns, and virtual crowns in the implant planning workflow.

Note that to get the AI design proposal, you need to be connected to the Communicate account. As for now, the AI proposal is available only for restorations that have one neighboring tooth on the scan.

Improved milling quality

The new edge design protection settings are now enabled by default. If you are using custom materials for your STL output, please make sure that Edge protection checkmark is enabled.
