New Production Facility in Poland
Recently opened scanner production and service facility in Poland.
Following a detailed year long review of its supply chain, 3Shape A/S has decided to start its own production in Szczecin, Poland.
The production facility commenced producing 3D scanners on June 1st 2009. The facility will initially employ a staff of 18 people, who are all familiar with the technology, as they join 3Shape from the former external production partner.
The new production facility is located on the outskirts of the city of Szczecin, which lies in the northwestern part of Poland, and will work alongside the Copenhagen office taking care of production and service of scanners.
The decision to start own production reflects that 3Shape has developed the structure required in order to meet the demands of the market in terms of both quality and. Furthermore, the new production facility aims at establishing the production flexibility for the future development of 3Shape.
