3Shape Showcases its new Dental System™ 2011 at IDS, Cologne
Copenhagen, March 16, 2011 - 3Shape, the user-acclaimed worldwide leader in 3D scanners and CAD/CAM software solutions, is showcasing its next-generation Dental SystemTM 2012 at the International Dental Show (IDS), starting March 22, in Cologne Germany. Due for release later in the year, this 2012 version of 3Shape's Dental SystemTM solution promices to raise even higher business value and production gains for dental labs.

3Shape's has recently set a fresh mission under the call "Helping labs to help their dentists" and, true to their word, Dental SystemTM 2012 is packed with many new service opportunities that dental labs can now offer their dentist-clients.
3Shape CommunicateTM - a lab

The new 3Shape CommunicateTM software is a
feature-packed internet based tool that allows labs to send
dentists 3D design visualizations that can be used in discussions
with their patients. Dentists can return immediate feedback and
approval to the lab.
New Model BuilderTM
software
Model BuilderTM allows technicians to design
full-functional models/implant models directly from intraoral
scans, physical impression scans and gypsum scans so labs can
produce all models locally - either in-house or through their
manufacturing center.
Flexible new scanner range - D500 and D800
scanners
Meeting the needs of the market, 3Shape has added 2 new scanners
that complement its user-acclaimed D700 scanner-series.
The new D500 scanner is built on 3Shape's
advanced and proven scanning technologies. The D500 is designed for
small to medium-sized labs looking for an easy entry into CAD/CAM
digital dentistry.
3Shape's D800 series is designed for medium to large
labs that demand the utmost accuracy and detail for even the most
advanced indications. The D800 supports unique Texture Scanning
capabilities and I built with 5.0 MP cameras.

Dental SystemTM 2012 additionally features a new
2D-Image Overlay tool for superimposing a patient's actual smile in
the design process, Virtual preparation of teeth, digital
temporaries, and newly optimized virtual articulation software.
