DentalDesigner™ is the most powerful, flexible and intuitive 3D CAD software package for crown and bridge work. It
allows you to design all types of dental restorations and combine them freely in one single design session. All modeled
items are ready to be separately milled or manufactured on any suitable CAM equipment.
DentalDesigner™ offers an intuitive user interface customized for easy restoration design. The operator is guided through all the steps of the design process. DentalDesigner™ fully supports graphic tablets, which enhance design freedom by replicating the traditional wax knife.
DentalDesigner™ allows you to rapidly design copings, crowns, wax-ups, or bridge frameworks according to your needs: just select the tooth/teeth preparations you want to work on and specify the restoration type you want to design.
The software allows the user to work in 3D and 2D simultaneously. This helps selecting the most appropriate views in order to optimize the performance of each design step.
You have the choice to select standard 3D teeth and pontics from our libraries or create your own collection by scanning your own items, such as pontics or crown wax-ups.
A collection of interactive tools allows you to take precise measurements and have a quick overview of alternative designs. It is also possible to test the strength of a given restoration according to its chosen material.
All modeling operations can be undone/redone in real time at any step of the design process. This makes it possible to easily perform alternative designs as needed, to resume a design in progress at a later stage, and to quickly amend an existing design.
Complex restoration design can be completed within a few minutes and results of modeling can be assessed on screen immediately.
All 3D files created by 3Shape’s DentalDesigner™ are saved in an open and standard format (typically STL): they can be milled, sintered or 3D printed on the compatible equipment of your choice, either in-house or by a service provider.
DentalDesigner™ undergoes continuous and rapid development in order to maintain its position as leading dental restoration CAD system. Aside from a steady stream of new features and capabilities, its existing functions and CAM interface also undergo a major improvement with each release.
