The Scan Handling module transforms an unstructured high-density point
cloud into an optimized 3D surface model in 2-3 minutes. The following
operations can all be performed automatically but the user always remains
in control of the process.
Noise and outliers are automatically removed from the imported point
cloud for optimal quality.
The system reduces the size of the point cloud while preserving a high
level of detail in the relevant high-curvature areas.
Fast triangulation of point cloud data to create an accurate 3D surface.
It is possible to further reduce the number of triangles that shape
the 3D last model while preserving the accurate geometry in high-curvature
areas.
Shoe lasts often have holes and artefacts that need to be removed from
the 3D model. Advanced tools are used to automatically detect and remove
holes and artefacts from the model's surface to produce a smooth and
accurate 3D last model.
Using a plane-cutting tool, it is easy to remove unwanted areas of the
3D last model, such as the top part of the last.
