The 3D Last System™ contains a module especially designed to accurately
compare the 3D shoe last models stored in the database with 2D standard
profiles commonly used by the footwear industry.
The 2D Profile Comparison feature can be used to:
- Quickly verify that a 3D scanned last shape meets 2D standard requirements
- Easily identify areas on a last that differ from the 2D last standard profile shape
- Document the analysis in a 2D comparison quality report
A view of the 2D Standard Comparison module: the 2D standard profile
selected from the integrated database of the 3D Last System is easily
matched with the 3D shoe last using either manual or automatic alignment
methods
A 3D last can be aligned with a toe, a shank, or a heel standard. The
2D profile and the 3D last are easily aligned using manual or automatic
methods. This ensures an optimal alignment of the 3D last and standard,
and thus reliable and consistent analysis results.

module. A detailed whisker plot diplays the deviations of the 3D last
from the 2D standard profile
The deviations between 2D standard profiles and the 3D last model can
be displayed using a number of graphical color difference maps or whisker
plots. All difference map parameters can be adjusted to optimize the
information presented.
Quality reports can be automatically created in Word™ to rapidly communicate
the results of the analysis. The reports include all relevant information
and screenshots to illustrate the findings from the shoe last comparison.
